Again Sweden gave us the preparation for the winter we need. We had a good set up in Storklinten.
The team stayed in a hostel (only for Lowlanders) not far from the slopes. Injected lanes gave us hard training conditions, but we know that quality execution off the basics (also on ice) wins ski races. We also know that the start of the race season is always hard to score.
Elite racers on start and difficult settings on bullet proof slopes gave us a lot of DNF´s. But this is calculated in our strategy. Hard work will pay off. Difficult conditions will pay off.
Next year we will stay longer in the same location. Do some races from the resort or just stay to train.
You could feel that the team was getting better and better towards the end of the Scandinavia camp : skill development, consistent performance (less DNF) and personal growth. With some good FIS points to finish the camp.
The team is at the start gate now. Ready to do some extra training at our base in Löfer in the coming weeks or for those who want to execute their good ski feelings…. Racer Ready !!!
